It’s here again! This year’s event is July 10 at Barona Dragstrip in San Diego County.

We’ve have won the trophy 2 years running, and the Road Devils are synonymous with this event. Looks like the Shifters will represent strong again, maybe I’ll get that Poncho vs. Poncho race with Marky’s (Shifters) Purple People Eater. The Lifters’ Butch Caltains with the blue Willys truck is gunning hard this year, rumor has it he’s made some changes and is gonna hand me my lunch. If he gets me, at least I’ll go down in style with a fresh coat of paint! The Bean Bandits, a club with one of the most respected racing histories back to the early ’50′s will be there with their restored dragster, and all of the SoCal heavy-hitters will be there. This is THE traditional hot rod drag event in SoCal, hands-down. SoCal guys, and anyone else who wants to make the race, do everything you can to show up and support.
