World Run 2017 things to see and do

I had received a couple of emails asking about car related things to see and do in the days before World Run kicks off. There are shops just about everywhere in Southern California, but heres a few "must see" places I came up with..

    Hello Brothers!

The days before the show, there are "shop parties" at various shops in and around Pomona.SoCal Speed Shop and Waldens Speed Shop both have them Friday night.Old Crow and Lucky Burtons place are both in Burbank and usually have something Thursday as well as a Hop Up Magazine party one of the nights.

As for other car related places to see, they are everywhere in the surrounding area.Early Ford Store in San Dimas is 10 minutes on surface streets from your hotel(SoCal and Waldens are 15 minutes on streets as well).CW Moss/Reids Early Ford Parts is also a half hour away in Olde Town Orange. All of these places are must see and are great if you are looking to ship parts home!

There are also a few museums to see in the area. The Petersen is in Downtown LA and has recently been remodeled. The California Driving Museum in El Segundo is a great place as well. Both places are about an hour to 2hrs from Diamond Bar(depending on traffic) :(

If anyone is bringing spouses and children,Disneyland is 30 minutes from Pomona,as is Knotts Berry Farm.Old Towne Orange is filled with Antique Stores/Restaurants.

There are also some top notch Air Museums near Pomona.Yanks Air museum and Planes of Fame are awesome collections of Warbirds from around the world.

Like I mentioned, driving in SoCal can be very challenging due to the constant traffic.Surface streets can usually get you where you are going much quicker the the highways. Please plan at least an hour drive time to anywhere you are headed and bring plenty of patience with you.If anyone needs specific details,I can be reached at 510-579-1658 or via email at

Here is a list of addresses to the places I mentioned above.Everyone be safe and be ready for a great time with our Worldwide Family..Love you all!

Knotts Berry Farm is a liitle more affordable..

Thank you for putting this together Ed. Great work!

The wife and I will be arriving Thursday morning and will probably spend a good chunk of that day in the LA area hitting up some tourist-type stuff. We will be checking into the Fairplex that evening to get some rest and start the festivities on Friday!
