Thanks for posting the pic's. I never missed the show when I lived in So Cal. The one shot of the green and white Chevy I believe is Dales. I used to drive by his house in Valley Center, CA on the way home and we'd eat with him at Papa Bears on Sundays sometimes. The car wasn't chopped then, been five years or so. If thats his car it's looking good.

I used to drive the 50' pictured and my friend Tim used to drive a 50' Ford 2dr black primer with red metal flake roof. I lived on Coal Grade Rd across from the high school down the street from my best friend Jimmy Benitez who built "Faster Pussycat" 31' RPU w/ hemi in R&C Mag a few months ago. I worked at C&G and he works at Jalopy Shop.
We used to run into each other and park at the cafe on Sundays and shoot the shit about cars. That should rattle the memory. Good hearing from you again, It has been a while since I've been out there.

Gotcha. How ya been? Yeah, I've run into Tim Sutton recently a couple of times, too. Guess his shoebox got totaled, but he's built a bitchin roadster. Funny, I met him when he ran out of gas comin up the grade, I was drivin the '49 before I did anything to it. I was givin him gas and bendin his ear about all the plans I had for the '49, plymouth tail lights, chop, yadda yadda. He prolly thought I was full of shit. Last saw him at the Hell on Wheels Motorcycle Rally last summer. He shoots and writes some features for Koolhouse nowadays. And I write the back page column in CKD, the Boulevard Crawl. Great to see you pop up on here. Papa Bears for sure, and I think I remember a long convo with you when I was buyin some gingerbread and fuzzies for my wife's '57 Ford sedan...anyway...

Good Ole Tim, He was best man at my wedding. We still keep in touch, I do miss the days living in North County, SD. I don't miss what it took to survive there though. I've been on OKC, OK for three years now and I'm doing great. I sell 49-51 Ford Parts all over the world and have a pretty great life here. Glad to hear from you and next time I go to see my inlaws in Escondido I'll head up the grade and have a few cold ones with you and shoot the shit.
